Charli Clark is a UK artist working in a variety of media to explore the notion of the social and society in contemporary times in relation to food and food production. For the past 3 years Clark has been living and working between Finland and the UK and completed a Master’s in Environmental Art at Aalto University in 2015. Recent commissions include ‘Catch Your Breath’ 2016, for Paper Makers: bringing science to life through art, UK, ‘Take One Down’ 2014, for Amorph!14 Community? International Performance Festival, MUU Gallery, Finland and ‘SWARM’ 2014, for Bzzzz International Sound Art Festival, Harp Art Lab, Sweden. Clark is a member of MUU Artist’s Association and the Finnish Society of Bioart and is currently researching the practical aspects of modern farming and livestock production in the UK to give her better understanding of part of the agricultural industry that is currently integral to her survival.
